Tashkent on track for Asian Youth Games: Al Musallam

TASHKENT, Oct 6:  Captain Husain Al Musallam, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, conducted an inspection tour of the Olympic Village in Yashnabad, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, which is set to host the 2025 Asian Summer Youth Games. During his visit, Al Musallam reviewed the latest progress in the development of the sports facilities that will be used for the upcoming competitions.

Expressing his satisfaction, Al Musallam stated that he was pleased with the progress at the Olympic Village, noting that preparations are on track to ensure the facilities are ready well ahead of the Games.

He highlighted that the sports venues, including the cycling arena, football stadium, athletics track, swimming pool complex, and other facilities, are being built according to international sports standards. Al Musallam emphasized the importance of the "Tashkent 2025" Asian Youth Games as a qualifying event for the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, in 2026.

Furthermore, he pointed out that these newly developed facilities will play a crucial role in Uzbekistan's sports future, positioning the country as a potential host for larger international events and championships.
