KUWAIT CITY, Mar 2: A teacher at an elementary school in Al-Shaab area filed a complaint alleging that he was insulted by a student’s guardian during a discussion. However, investigations revealed that the guardian’s remarks were intended to de-escalate the situation rather than offend.
According to the details, the teacher, a 39-year-old Kuwaiti citizen, reported that the guardian had raised his hand at him and said, “Modesty is not for school, trust in God,” which he interpreted as an insult while he was performing his duties. The case was subsequently referred to the Hawalli Investigations Department. When contacted, the guardian denied the allegations, stating that he had no intention of insulting the teacher. During the investigation, the teacher identified the guardian, and both parties maintained their respective statements.
After reviewing the incident, the investigation concluded that the guardian’s remark, “Modesty is not for you at school, so trust in God,” was made to calm the situation and bring the heated discussion to an end, rather than to insult or offend the teacher. The case highlights the importance of context and intent in resolving such disputes.
