KUWAIT CITY, April 1: Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohammad Al-Fares says the ministry is considering humanitarian aspects prior to termination of services of expatriate teachers whose specialities are surplus to requirements, reports Al- Anba daily.He said, “We are in a humanitarian country and we take all things into consideration” Dr Al-Fares indicated that the ministry is currently studying letters submitted regarding cases of injustice, adding, “We are looking into each case carefully”.In another development, the minister revealed that, “We are coordinating with the parliament’s Education Committee to approve the establishment plan related to social workers and psychologists”.He stressed that the ministry has commenced discussions with the committee to agree on a suitable mechanism for attracting Kuwaiti social workers and psychologists to work in that sector of the ministry.
