Tent market removal on agenda

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: On Monday next week, the Municipal Council will hold its fourth regular session of the second term, which is the first session after the end of the summer vacation. During the session, it will discuss a number of items on its agenda, the most important of which is the request to extend the validity of the Municipal Council’s decision regarding the location of the Firefighters Club in Al- Masail area, Block 7. It will also discuss the draft controls and rules for naming cities, suburbs, regions, streets and squares, as well as the responses to the questions of members of the Municipal Council, such as the question of Fuhaid Al-Muwaizri regarding the removal of the tent market in Al-Rai area, and another by Abdullah Al-Enezi regarding the road from the Sulail Jahra Bridge that connects the Sixth Ring Road to the Mutlaa City.

During the session, which will be chaired by Abdullah Al-Mahri, the Municipal Council will discuss a number of proposals, the most prominent of which is the proposal submitted by members Abdullatif Al-Daei, Sharifa Al-Shalfan, Munira Al-Amir, and Fahad Al-Abd Al-Jader regarding designing the visual identity of the Municipal Council. It will also discuss the proposal submitted by the Vice President of the council Khaled Al-Mutairi regarding the allocation and establishment of a second integrated health center in Abdullah Al-Mubarak area. Two other proposals will be discussed, one of which was presented by Alia Al-Farisi regarding the cleanliness of Kuwait City and replacing the black bags for residential containers with eco-friendly bags, and the other by Muneera Al-Amir regarding activating performance measurement standards in the work system of the Kuwait Municipality.

The Municipal Council will also discuss a number of requests from ministries and government agencies, including a request from the Public Authority for Road and Transportation (PART) for the expansion of the location of the underground rainwater collection tank within Andalous Block 8 area and two connecting lanes for rainwater drainage. It will discuss requests of the Ministry of Electricity to allocate sites for a secondary transformer station in the Abdullah Al-Salem suburb, and a secondary transformer station in Qadisiya area, as well as to allocate a terrestrial cable route in Doha area to feed the main transformer stations to serve the Entertainment City project. The Municipal Council will also tackle a request to expand the site allocated to it in the commercial and administrative center in Farwaniya area to construct a building for citizen service that includes all departments.
