The 10th IBA mega basketball tournament continues in full swing

KUWAIT CITY, April 10: The 10th IBA basketball tournament 2025, organized under the umbrella of the Indian Basketball Association, is continuing in full swing, with sky-high enthusiasm and sportive fervor in the blessed indoor court of UNITED INTERNATIONAL INDIAN SCHOOL from the 29th of March till the 11th of April.

The basketball tournament is carried out in memory of our most beloved Thomas Chandy Memorial Ever Rolling Interschool Trophy and Susamma Elanjickal Memorial Ever Rolling trophy. The tournament is open to all sports enthusiasts and well-wishers. The school level tournament was officially inaugurated by United Indian School Purchase Manager Mr John Thomas on the 29th of March 29th.

Men and Women Open category matches were officially chaired by Mr Vipin Thukattu, Student Recruitment Director Canadian College of Kuwait.

The schools vying for the Thomas Chandy Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy are Bhavans, Indian School of Excellence, Indian Community School, DPS, last year's champions United Indian School, Don Bosco, Carmel School. The Open Category teams competing are Decibelz, Lob City, Raptors A-Team, Crusaders, and Women teams DonBosco, Decibels, and IASC REBOUNDERS.

The tournament is embellished with the presence of national and international players vying with each other in the most awaited finals on the 11th of April, Friday. The closing ceremony function will take place on the 11th April with the presence of our most beloved and treasured Mr. Joel Jacob Executive Administrative Manager United Group of Schools who will applaud and acknowledge the winners and the Guest of honor the most benevolent Mr Kahaled Al Khalaff the head coach of Kuwait Basketball Team and a sportive basketball player will give away the prizes for the Open category matches respectively. The IBA family invites all sports enthusiasts and well-wishers to the closing ceremony and to witness the finals and be part of an enticing journey of basketball down the lane.
