KUWAIT CITY, April 12: The Gulf Tennis Championship for Under-12, Under-16, and general age teams began two days ago at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah International Tennis Complex, with participation from all six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Kuwait Tennis Federation President Abdulredha Al-Gharib stated that the tournament, which runs until April 16, will feature three age groups. The competition format follows a single-group league structure for all age groups, with the team accumulating the highest points securing first place.
Al-Gharib also highlighted the strong preparation of the Kuwaiti national team for the tournament, emphasizing collaboration with the Rafa Nadal Academy, which trains all national tennis players across various categories. He further noted that international competition has played a key role in enhancing the players’ skills.
