KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: The Kuwaiti Humanitarian Friendship Society has launched a charity campaign to provide aid to the distressed Gaza Strip, obtaining approval from the Ministry of Affairs to collect donations for relief efforts. While the society traditionally focused on projects within Kuwait, the dire circumstances of war, destruction, and displacement in Gaza prompted the management to extend its assistance beyond Kuwait's borders.

Khaled Bin Sabt, the Director General of the Society, emphasized that the campaign is a humanitarian initiative aligned with the society's core objectives. Despite historically concentrating on aiding those in need within Kuwait, the society recognized the urgency to extend support to Gaza due to the ongoing challenges faced by thousands of displaced individuals.

Bin Sabt outlined that all cash and in-kind donations collected during the campaign will be delivered to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society without any deductions. The society follows a policy of not deducting any percentage from received donations, and the Kuwait Red Crescent Society is a trusted organization both locally and internationally for effective relief and aid distribution.

To kickstart the campaign, the Kuwait Humanitarian Friendship Society will contribute $100,000 in financial and relief aid. Additionally, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ahmed Abdullah Al-Sarraf, and several society founders and members, including Yaqoub Al-Jawaan, have collectively donated another $100,000 in the form of medical supplies through the Kuwaiti Red Crescent.

Bin Sabt has appealed to the charitable citizens and residents of Kuwait to actively participate in the humanitarian campaign. Those interested in contributing or seeking information on how to donate can reach out to the association's administration through their website www.khf-kwt.com or contact them at 90056080 for inquiries."
