KUWAIT CITY, March 9: The third Ramadan Mini Golf Championship began the day before yesterday and will conclude tomorrow at the Farhan Al-Khaled Intermediate School Hall in Bayan. Open to Kuwaiti youth aged 16 and above, the tournament offers cash prizes for the top two winners.
Hassan Al-Khawaja, head of the Mini Golf Committee and founder of the sport in Kuwait, highlighted that the championship follows the game’s successful participation in the recent Kuwaiti Sports Day. He emphasized that the event aims to attract young Kuwaitis, channel their energy into sports, and foster a spirit of friendly competition. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen social bonds within Kuwaiti society and provide an engaging outlet for mini golf enthusiasts.
Al-Khawaja noted that Ramadan tournaments play a crucial role in enriching the lives of young people by promoting sports culture during the holy month. He added that these events continue to grow in popularity, drawing intense competition, excitement, and high spectator engagement.
