Theft and Arson Case Under Investigation After Vehicle Set Ablaze

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 5: Forensic experts were dispatched to an open space in the Sabah Al-Ahmad residential area to collect evidence that an unidentified thief may have left behind on a vehicle before intentionally setting it on fire. Meanwhile, detectives are conducting further investigations and questioning a worker from a mobile tire repair service to determine if he is connected to the case, which has been classified as theft and arson.

According to case details provided by a security source, a 25-year-old Kuwaiti citizen reported that his Japanese-made vehicle had broken down in the Sabah Al-Ahmad residential area. He contacted a mobile tire repair service by phone, shared the vehicle's location, and requested assistance. The complainant stated, "Two hours later, I received a call from the mobile tire shop driver informing me that the car was no longer at the specified location. I rushed to the area and could not find it. After searching nearby, I discovered the vehicle deliberately burned in an open space approximately 3 kilometers away from where it had originally broken down."

In a separate incident, another citizen filed a theft report at the Sabah Al-Ahmad residential police station, alleging that an expatriate working on a plot had stolen 30 bags of cement. The complainant cited the plot's guard, who identified the expatriate as the culprit. However, it remains unclear whether the worker had demanded money from the complainant in connection with the theft.
