Three Expatriates Arrested for Social Media Fraud in Sheep Sales

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9 : Three expatriates have been detained and are being referred to the Public Prosecution after being tracked and arrested for defrauding eight individuals through a social media platform by falsely selling sheep.

A security source reported that Farwaniya detectives formed a team to investigate after multiple fraud complaints were filed against an account advertising the sale of slaughtered animals. According to the source, the accused would block customers immediately after receiving a payment of around 40 dinars, without delivering the promised goods. This scheme was repeated with several victims who registered complaints.

The investigation eventually led to one of the suspects, who was caught in an ambush. Upon arrest, he confessed and provided information about his accomplices, who are of the same nationality. All three were taken into custody, and the victims are currently being notified.
