Three lives lost in separate traffic accidents across Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: Three individuals—a citizen, an Asian expatriate, and an unidentified person—lost their lives in three separate traffic accidents in Kuwait this week. This includes two hit-and-run incidents in the Mangaf area and on Jahra Road near the Qairawan area. Additionally, a third accident involving a collision on the airport road also resulted in a fatality. Another citizen sustained various injuries in these incidents.

In the first accident, a source from the Ministry of Interior informed Al-Jarida that their operations room had received a report regarding a hit-and-run in the Mangaf area. Traffic patrols from Ahmadi Governorate, rescue teams, and public security forces were quickly dispatched to the scene. Upon their arrival, authorities discovered that an Asian expatriate had been fatally struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the road. Forensic personnel were called to the scene to remove the body, which was then sent to the Forensic Medicine Department. The driver, also an Asian resident, was taken into custody and referred to investigation authorities.

In the second incident, the Ministry of Interior received a report of another hit-and-run on Jahra Road, opposite the Qairawan area. Traffic patrols from Jahra Governorate and emergency police responded to the site, where they discovered the body of an unidentified individual who had been struck by a vehicle driven by a citizen. Forensic teams were called to remove the body and to assist in identifying the deceased. The driver was detained and referred to investigation authorities, with a case of hit-and-run resulting in death registered at the Kairouan Traffic Department.

The third accident involved a collision between two vehicles on the airport road heading towards Kuwait City. The General Fire Force’s Public Relations and Media Department reported that their fire station responded to the incident. Upon arrival, they discovered that the collision had led to one driver's death while the other driver sustained injuries. Emergency medical technicians were dispatched to transport the injured individual to the hospital for treatment. The firefighters also retrieved the deceased's body and handed it over to forensic personnel. Traffic and rescue authorities took over the scene to complete the necessary legal procedures.
