KUWAIT CITY, March 19: Kuwait is set to experience unstable weather due to the influence of a deepening surface depression combined with an upper atmosphere system, the Kuwait Meteorological Department announced. According to the department’s director, Dirar Al-Ali, cloud cover will increase from Wednesday evening, bringing chances of scattered light rain. Rainfall is expected to persist intermittently until Saturday evening, varying from light to heavy, with possible thunderstorms in some areas. The heaviest rainfall is forecast between Friday afternoon and Saturday, accompanied by strong southern winds on Thursday and Friday. These winds may raise dust, reduce visibility – especially in open areas – and cause rough sea conditions. Weather conditions are expected to gradually improve from midnight on Saturday, with decreasing clouds and diminishing rain chances. However, fog may form on Sunday morning, particularly in coastal areas (KUNA)
