KUWAIT CITY, March 19: Kuwait's Meteorological Department has announced that the country is being affected by an extension of a surface depression, which will gradually deepen in conjunction with another depression in the upper atmosphere. As a result, clouds will begin to increase starting Wednesday evening, bringing with them the possibility of light, scattered rains.
Dharar Al-Ali, Director of the Meteorological Department, informed KUNA that the chances of rain will continue until Saturday evening, occurring intermittently with varying intensity, ranging from light to moderate. Some areas may experience heavy, thundery rainfall at times.
Al-Ali further explained that the rainfall will peak on Friday afternoon and continue through Saturday. During this period, active southerly winds are expected on Thursday and Friday, which will lead to dust storms and reduced horizontal visibility, particularly in open areas. This will also cause higher sea waves.
The weather conditions are expected to gradually improve starting at midnight on Saturday, with clouds beginning to decrease and rain chances diminishing. On Sunday morning, there may be a chance of fog formation in some areas, particularly along the coast.
