KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: Member of the Municipal Council and head of the Technical Committee Munira Al—Amir insists that implementing her proposal to develop the Capital area will transform Kuwait City’s appearance. This follows the Municipal Council’s approval of two proposals she recently submitted regarding the architectural identity of government buildings and the establishment of various mechanisms by Kuwait Municipality to enhance the capital’s aesthetics as the nation’s façade.
In a press statement issued yesterday, Al-Amir explained that her proposals represent an important first step towards improving the image of the Kuwaiti capital and raising it to the ranks of advanced countries. The capitals usually receive special attention from the government, as they symbolize and reflect the state's identity. The time has come to initiate the development of the capital and establish a clear identity for government buildings throughout the country. Many of the capital’s government and heritage buildings need modern upgrades that align with the government’s vision for sustainability and innovation.
