Tom Holland explains why he occasionally Googles his girlfriend
Tom Holland and Zendaya

LOS ANGELES, Nov 3: What was the last thing Tom Holland Googled? Surprisingly, it was his girlfriend, Zendaya.

The Spider-Man actor, who has been in a relationship with the Euphoria star since 2021, recently shared on Samah Dada’s On The Menu podcast that he sometimes Googles Zendaya to “check” on her.

“The last thing I Googled was actually Zendaya,” Holland revealed while promoting his new non-alcoholic drink brand, Bero. “I’m not on [social media], and I delete it when I’m not using it.”

He continued, “So, sometimes, like, it’s more of a bit of an anxiety thing, but I’ll check to see if everything’s good and to make sure we’re all cool. So I just give her a little Google and look [through] the news, and I’m like, ‘She’s good. We’re fine.’”

The couple first met while filming 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Holland played the titular superhero and Zendaya portrayed his love interest, MJ. They reprised their roles in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far from Home and 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, and they are set to return for Spider-Man 4, which is currently in development.

Over the years, they have kept their relationship largely private. Holland told The Hollywood Reporter last year, “Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”

Zendaya shares this sentiment, stating in an interview with Elle magazine last year about her relationship with Holland, “Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own, but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”
