KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1: In response to directives from the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, along with guidance from the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Lieutenant General Salem Al-Nawaf, a comprehensive traffic security plan has been devised to apprehend individuals engaging in reckless behavior and violating traffic regulations.
According to Al-Adwani, the New Year's Eve statistics across all governorates indicated the issuance of 2,523 violations. Among these, one case was referred to traffic police, another to the juvenile prosecution, and seven wanted vehicles, along with a wanted person, were successfully apprehended. Additionally, 45 vehicles and 3 motorcycles were seized, and four individuals were transferred due to the expiration of their residency.
Furthermore, 10 violations were issued for creating annoying noises, with a subsequent "block" placed for further review by the Technical Inspection Department. An additional 56 violations were recorded through radar surveillance as part of the comprehensive efforts to enforce traffic rules and maintain public safety.
