Meanwhile, the traffic patrol teams referred 19 minors to the Public Prosecution for driving without licenses and arrested 29 individuals for committing serious traffic violations over the past week.

The General Traffic Department explained that several large-scale traffic campaigns were held in all governorates during the past week, which resulted in the arrest of 24 individuals who were either reported as absconding, or had arrest orders issued against them, or whose residencies were expired. They also impounded 53 vehicles and 57 motorcycles, issued 47,810 traffic citations, and seized 56 wanted vehicles. In the meantime, the Public Relations Department at the Kuwait Municipality has announced that the field teams of the cleaning departments continue to intensify their inspection tours to monitor and address cleaning and road occupancy violations in all governorates and to activate the role of supervisory bodies in implementing the Municipality’s regulations.

It affirmed that the Cleanliness and Roads Occupancy General Department at the Municipality branch in Jahra Governorate recently conducted extensive tours in residential areas to improve the level of cleanliness, remove everything that obstructs the road and distorts the general view, and prevent the improper disposal of waste materials. Acting Director of the branch and Director of its Cleanliness and Roads Occupancy General Department Nawaf Al-Mutairi clarified that the intensified inspection tours are aimed at uncovering violations and taking legal measures against those proven to have committed violations. He said his supervisory team focuses on improving the level of cleanliness in the areas under its responsibility, in addition to removing anything that distorts the aesthetic view and ensuring strict compliance with the road occupancy regulations throughout the governorate.
