Traffic officer and 4 others get 5 year-jail for forging vehicle licenses
Kuwait court

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: The Criminal Court sentenced a Traffic Department employee, a citizen, and three stateless individuals (Bedouins) to five years in prison for charges related to the forgery of vehicle licenses. The forged documents involved 45 vehicles that were sold for a total of 437,000 dinars.

The Public Prosecution accused the first defendant, a public employee in the Capital Traffic Department, of forging official electronic documents. The defendant altered 45 vehicle operating licenses in the General Traffic Department’s computer system by removing the phrase "required for installments," which was false information.

The second to fifth defendants were charged with conspiring to assist the first defendant in the forgery. They collaborated with him to forge the documents and helped him unlawfully obtain the proceeds from the sale of the 54 vehicles, which amounted to the financial sum detailed in the forged documents.
