LOS ANGELES, Oct 9, (Agencies): Travis Kelce seems to be dealing with a persistent injury that's been bothering him. During Sunday's game, the No. 87 NFL player appeared to suffer an injury when he slipped on the turf after making a catch while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Minnesota Vikings at US Bank Stadium.
The injury occurred in a no-contact situation, and visibly frustrated, the tight end slammed his helmet as he hobbled to the sidelines. However, after receiving medical attention, Kelce made a surprising return to the game midway through the third quarter. Notably, he went on to score a touchdown against the Vikings, showcasing his resilience.
During Kelce's time on the field, it seemed like an unusual occurrence for Taylor Swift not to be in attendance. NFL commentator Jim Nantz made this observation at the beginning of the game, with footage showing fans in "Swifties" jerseys and holding signs that read, "Where's Taylor?"
Nantz humorously remarked, "Seven words I thought would never leave my lips in my career: Taylor Swift is not at the game... She was questionable all week, but it looks like she's officially inactive."
This absence from the game followed Kelce's celebration of his 34th birthday in Kansas City, which Taylor Swift did not attend. An eyewitness disclosed that Kelce was joined by teammates and one of his agents as they dined at the Golden Ox, a popular steakhouse. They arrived around 8:30 pm and practically had the place to themselves, enjoying a good time together.
This marks the first time in three weeks that Swift has been absent from one of Kelce's games. On September 24, Swift attended Kelce and the Chiefs' home game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, where she sat in the suites alongside Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce.
