KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: The Criminal Investigations Department of Hawalli Governorate, recently arrested two individuals suspected of involvement in human trafficking and selling visas, as well as money laundering.

Following extensive investigations, authorities uncovered a scheme in which the suspects allegedly brought expat workers into Kuwait by selling visas. However, these workers had no legitimate connection to the companies listed as their sponsors. The arrests followed a period of close surveillance and intelligence gathering, supported by reliable sources, which enabled authorities to obtain legal warrants.

During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to their roles in the scheme. They have since been referred to the competent authorities for further legal proceedings. Officials are also working to identify and summon additional accomplices involved in the operation.

In a public statement, the Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the law and continuing efforts to tackle criminal activities. The ministry emphasized its determination to bring all individuals involved in illegal activities to justice, underscoring the government’s dedication to ensuring security and strengthening the rule of law in Kuwait.
