Two decrees and a decision withdraw citizenship from 1,726 individuals

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: The Council of Ministers has issued two decrees and a decision to withdraw citizenship from 1,726 individuals, including those who acquired it through dependency. This action is based on Amiri Decree No. 15 of 1959 concerning the Kuwaiti Nationality Law.

Decree No. 212 of 2024 orders the withdrawal of citizenship from one individual, while Decree No. 213 of 2024 revokes the citizenship of 1,718 women. Additionally, Cabinet Resolution No. 1486 of 2024 stipulates the withdrawal of citizenship from seven individuals.
