An expatriate caught with stolen drugs displayed in front.

KUWAIT CITY, July 10: Two expatriates have been detained at the Jahra Police Station on suspicion of stealing medicines belonging to the Ministry of Health.

A security source reported that a patrol from Jahra Rescue stopped an expatriate who was behaving suspiciously. Upon searching his vehicle, authorities discovered a large quantity of medicines labeled as property of the Ministry of Health. During questioning, the suspect revealed that another expatriate, working as a janitor in a clinic, had been stealing the medicines. The suspect admitted to receiving the stolen medicines to either resell them or send them to their home country.

The clinic from which the medicines were stolen has been notified and an investigation is underway to identify any procedural shortcomings and prevent future thefts. The authorities are committed to ensuring the integrity of medical supplies and taking necessary measures against those involved in such illicit activities.
