KUWAIT CITY, Mar 5: Ahmadi Police patrols successfully arrested two Asian expatriates in possession of approximately 200 bottles of locally manufactured liquor as they attempted to pass through a checkpoint in one of the areas of Ahmadi Governorate.

The incident occurred the night before yesterday when Ahmadi Police officers, while manning a checkpoint in the governorate, noticed a car with two individuals who appeared nervous and attempted to flee on foot. The officers quickly apprehended and brought the situation under control. Upon further inspection, it was revealed that the individuals were of Asian nationality. A search of their vehicle uncovered around 200 bottles of locally produced liquor concealed in bags on the back seats and in the trunk of the car. During preliminary interrogation, the suspects admitted to manufacturing the liquor, bottling it using specialized equipment, packaging it, and distributing it to customers via a delivery service. Consequently, the suspects and the confiscated liquor were handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
