Two Government Officials and Accomplice Nabbed in 200,000 Dinar Bribery Scandal

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: The Ministry of Interior, along with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, successfully arrested two employees from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry along with their accomplices for abusing their positions and accepting bribes. They were charged with taking money in exchange for overlooking commercial violations and fabricating false ones.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the case came to light after detectives received information about individuals exploiting their official roles for personal gain.

After obtaining the necessary legal approvals, the authorities caught the accused in the act, receiving 50,000 Kuwaiti dinars as part of an agreed 200,000-dollar bribe. The suspects were referred to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings.
