KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: Three astronauts, two Russians and an American, returned to Earth after a year-long mission on the International Space Station, according to the Russian space agency Roscosmos.

The agency said, “Roscosmos astronauts Sergei Prokopyev and Dmitry Petilin and NASA astronaut Francisco Rubio, who spent a year aboard the International Space Station, landed near the city of Dzhezkazgan in Kazakhstan.”

She explained that the Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft they were on board arrived on Earth in a landing operation that took place in a “normal position.”

Roscosmos confirmed that Prokopyev and Petilin spent “370 days, 21 hours and 22 minutes in space, on the longest flight within the International Space Agency’s program.”
