KUWAIT CITY, July 3: The UAE Cabinet has announced several key decisions during its recent meeting. One of the major decisions is the establishment of a Ministry of Investment within the federal government structure. The purpose of this ministry is to drive the country's development vision forward. Additionally, the Cabinet has granted the first national license for self-driving vehicles, enabling them to operate on the roads across the country.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, who chaired the Cabinet meeting, stated that these decisions were made under the directives of the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Mohammed Al-Suwaidi has been appointed as the Minister of Investment to lead this newly established ministry.

In regards to the national license for self-driving vehicles, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid highlighted that the company granted the license will conduct comprehensive testing of various types of autonomous vehicles in the Emirates. This move is expected to revolutionize the future of mobility patterns in the country.

Furthermore, the UAE Cabinet has approved amendments to the law on combating human trafficking, aiming to strengthen penalties and combat this heinous crime. The Cabinet also adopted the National Energy Strategy 2050 and the National Hydrogen Strategy, with the goal of promoting renewable energy sources, reducing carbon emissions, and contributing to the achievement of climate neutrality.
