PARIS, March 10, (KUNA): In a ceremony held at the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) headquarters in Monaco on Saturday, world champions of the 2023 season were honored, including Kuwaiti racers Yousef Al-Abdulrazzaq and Fares Ramadhan. Al-Abdulrazzaq secured the top spot in the general rankings of the recent world aqua-bike championship in Indonesia, while Ramadhan claimed first place in the moto-surfing championship.

Notably, Al-Abdulrazzaq established a world record for the most victories in the aqua-bike championship division GP1. Expressing his delight at being invited to the UIM ceremony, he pledged to proudly raise Kuwait's flag in upcoming podium ceremonies.

In his statements to KUNA, Ramadhan expressed gratitude to the UIM for the recognition, highlighting that he is the first Kuwaiti moto-surfer to clinch a world title. He dedicated this remarkable achievement to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and promised to pursue further accomplishments in the future.
