KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10: British Ambassador to Kuwait Belinda Lewis hosted a luncheon at her residence to acknowledge the role of the editors-in-chief of Kuwaiti newspapers in fostering media relations and cooperation between the United Kingdom and Kuwait. Present at the event were Editors- in-Chief Ahmed Al-Jarallah (Al-Seyassah and Arab Times), Imad Bukhamseen (An-Nahar) and Dr. Ziad Al-Alyan (Kuwait Times). Ambassador Lewis emphasized the media’s crucial role in strengthening bilateral relations through accurate and objective reporting. She discussed media issues of mutual concern, and explored ways to strengthen cooperation between Kuwaiti newspapers and the British Embassy. She then commended the editors- in-chief for their contributions to media communication between Kuwait and Britain. She also expressed her country’s appreciation for their role in building understanding and strengthening the long-standing friendship between the two nations.
