KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: The Commercial Control Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry monitored attempts by some companies to raise prices in violation of laws and decisions, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The ministry recently discovered that a multi-branch company that sells electronic devices was selling a particular type of mobile phone device for KD 900 and taking advantage of people’s desire to acquire the mobile phone.

This type of mobile phone has not been officially released in the local market, and its actual price is KD 460. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry warned companies and stores that sell electronic and electrical devices that it will refer to justice anyone who exploits people’s desire to acquire modern communications devices, and raises their prices illegally, taking advantage of the devices not being officially released in the local market, in implementation of article 2 of law No. 10/1979.
