KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: The Italian Ambassador to Kuwait, HE Carlo Balducci, said 1,000 Kuwaitis obtained a 5-year multi-entry tourist visa in the first two weeks following the approval of the “Cascade” visa procedures, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The Italian envoy expects the number of visas to increase after the adoption of the “Cascade” visa system, pointing out that this is what prompted the embassy to choose a larger place to accommodate the increasing number of visa applicants wishing to travel to Italy.
He pointed out that the time required to obtain a visa for Kuwaitis does not exceed 48 hours, indicating that there is no change in the prices for issuing a “Cascade” visa, as it is only a system to facilitate procedures for Kuwaitis and not to raise prices.
Regarding the strategic dialogue meeting between Kuwait and Italy, Balducci said that the date has not been determined yet.
Meanwhile, Balducci revealed that Italian Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Maria Tripodi will arrive in Kuwait next Tuesday, October 3, for a two-day visit, and will depart on Thursday, October 5.
