KUWAIT CITY, Dec 22: The General Administration of the Coast Guard has urged marine vessel owners to complete their registration and renewal processes before the end of the fine exemption period on December 31, 2024.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the administration reminded vessel owners that the exemption period from fines for failure to register or renew their vessels with the Coast Guard's Maritime Transport Department will soon expire. This exemption is based on Ministerial Resolution No. 484 of 2024.
The Coast Guard emphasized that owners who have not yet completed the necessary steps should do so quickly to avoid penalties. After December 31, those who fail to comply will face fines as outlined in the Small Vessels Law No. 36 of 1960.
