US Ambassador to Kuwait Karen Sasahara

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 22: US Ambassador to Kuwait Karen Sasahara, along with the embassy team, congratulated students in Kuwait on the start of the 2024-2025 academic year. She stated, “Your dedication to study and hard work in the classroom is the beginning of a journey from high school to college and then to a professional career.”

In a press statement, Ambassador Sasahara emphasized that higher education is vital for unlocking future success and introduced the “Take a Step” campaign, aimed at supporting Kuwaiti students in their college and university applications.

The ambassador highlighted the United States’ reputation for providing unparalleled quality education, known for its innovation, diversity, and excellence. “Whether you plan to become an engineer, doctor, lawyer, scientist, writer, entrepreneur, artist, or even a diplomat, American colleges and universities are world-class institutions,” she explained. These institutions feature state-of-the-art research facilities designed to equip students with critical thinking skills for the future.

“With access to outstanding faculty, extensive resources, and a vibrant campus life, students are prepared for professional success and encouraged to make a significant impact as well-rounded global citizens,” she added. “You are the future leaders and visionaries who will shape our world for the better.”

Ambassador Sasahara also noted that the “Take a Step” campaign, which will run until the end of October, envisions a future where Kuwaiti students are not just participants in their own success but active architects of their country’s progress. “The road ahead is full of opportunities, and with ‘Take a Step,’ we are excited to be part of your journey towards making a significant impact,” she concluded.
