US envoy praises efforts after visit to expats’ shelter center

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: The Public Authority for Manpower announced that the US Ambassador to Kuwait, Karen Sasahara, conducted a field visit to the expatriate workers’ shelter center, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the center’s operations, including the procedures for receiving expatriate workers and the role of government agencies in providing essential services to the residents.

Ambassador Sasahara was briefed on various services available at the center, including health care, psychological support, and legal assistance, with a particular focus on the support provided to female residents. She was also presented with data and statistics concerning the number of residents and the procedures in place for their care and rehabilitation. The Public Authority for Manpower noted that Ambassador Sasahara expressed her appreciation for the center’s efforts in providing social and psychological protection, legal rights, and dignified living conditions to the female inmates. She extended her gratitude to the staff for their ongoing dedication and commitment to enhancing the residents’ well-being and accommodation.
