KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: Director-General of General Department for Weapons Investigations Brigadier Abdulrahman Al-Suhail has issued a decision according to which the validity of a weapons licence is three years instead of one, reports Al-Anba daily.
A reliable source told the daily the renewal of weapons’ licence will be after three years. The same source said this action comes within the framework of easing the burden on the General Department for Weapons Investigations. The source explained granting the license for 3 years will depend on good behavior. For example if the holder of a weapon is involved in a crime related to gun use, the license will be cancelled even if the person involved holds a valid licence.
