KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: The fourth annual Grand Shooting Championship of His Highness the Crown Prince concluded with the crowning of the male and female winners of its competitions.
Representing the tournament sponsor, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Governor of Farwaniya, Sheikh Mishal Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, expressed honour to attend the closing ceremony. The event saw a significant turnout of participants, with congratulations extended to the competition winners.

Sheikh Mishal Al-Jaber Al-Sabah commended the Kuwaiti Shooting Club's impeccable organization of the tournament, emphasizing the positive impact on Kuwaiti shooting sports. He conveyed best wishes for continued success in this athletic endeavour.

Chairman of the Championship Organizing Committee and Club President, Daij Al-Otaibi, conveyed appreciation for the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince, recognizing it as a manifestation of the wise leadership's keen interest in Kuwaiti shooting sports. Al-Otaibi highlighted the fierce competition and high-level performances throughout the tournament, foreseeing a positive impact on refining Kuwaiti shooters for upcoming competitions. Gratitude was expressed to all state agencies contributing to the tournament's success.

The final day of the three-day tournament featured exceptional performances from shooters representing various clubs and sports federations. Abdullah Al-Taraqi secured the title of the skeet shooting competition, while Talal Al-Tarqi dominated the trap shooting. Salman Al-Anazi claimed gold in the 25-meter rapid pistol shooting, and archer Ali Al-Zaid emerged victorious in the Olympic Bow and Arrow Competition for men.

The medal tally continued with Abdullah Malallah securing gold in the compound category, Ali Al-Mutairi triumphing in the 10-meter air rifle shooting, and Maryam Arzouki excelling in the women's category for the same competition. Souad Al-Bahr clinched gold in the Olympic archery competition, and Mohammed Hamdan and Lulwa Al-Awadhi claimed gold in bow and arrow shooting for juniors.

The closing ceremony, held at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Ranges Complex, saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the President of the Asian Shooting Federation, Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, and members of the Kuwaiti Shooting Club's Board of Directors. Families of the tournament's first-place winners also attended the celebratory event.
