Kuwait City, June 3: Warba Bank announced obtaining approval of the Central Bank of Kuwait to appoint Nasser Maher Al-Mutawa as the Head of the Digital Group at Warba Bank, which is a major addition to the administrative development strategy and meeting the requirements of the next stage that the Bank is working on in various sectors.
The Bank stated in a press statement that the appointment of Al-Mutawa to this important position comes as part of the Bank’s policy adopted during recent years in seeking the help of national talents in leadership positions, in addition to strengthening its position in the field of digital services, especially since the digital group plays a vital role in achieving the goals of banks in general and in implementing their digital initiatives.
The Bank explained that the position's responsibilities include directing and leading the Group and its strategy and its alignment with Warba Bank's objectives, which contributes significantly to enhancing the level of customer service, enriching and improving their experiences, as well as continuing work to develop operational efficiency.
In addition, it includes supervising the development and implementation of functional and operational policies, procedures and standards to ensure achieving the highest level of performance while adopting a culture of innovation in accordance with the vision and strategic objectives of Warba Bank.
The Bank added that the appointment of Al-Mutawa also comes within its strategy that aims to appoint and empower national leaders who contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Bank’s business. It also reflects the Bank’s insightful vision in strengthening its human resources with professionals, especially leadership positions.
The Bank noted that Al-Mutawa joined Warba Bank with many experiences gained during his work in many institutions. Al-Mutawa, who holds a university degree in Business Administration – Administrative Information System, has diverse experience in the field of digital work for more than 17 years, as he began his career with local telecommunications companies in information technology management. Then he joined a local bank to work in the field of digital services. He also occupied several positions, the most recent of which was Assisting Undersecretary for Technical Support and Planning Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, responsible for implementing many digital projects towards digital transformation.
Warba Bank is one of the banks that has achieved great successes in a short period, as it occupied a leading position in the field of Islamic digital banking services for individuals, and it is one of the largest local banks in the number of shareholders, and these are among the most prominent components that make the Bank close to all members of society.
