Kuwait City, July 30: As part of its initiatives on social media platforms, Warba Bank announced the launch of a dedicated awareness campaign to combat drug abuse. The campaign aims to highlight the severe consequences of drug abuse and emphasise the importance of awareness in combating this curse. It initiated in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior's General Department of Anti-Drug Trafficking and General Department of Security Media. The campaign will focus on the legal penalties associated with drug abuse as well as its familial and health impacts.

Ayman Salem Al-Mutairi, Director Marketing & Corporate Communication at Warba Bank, emphasised that this campaign is part of the bank's strategic plan for sustainable community development. He noted that the campaign seeks to educate the public about the dangers of drugs and promote preventive measures. Additionally, the campaign will cover key topics such as the risks of carrying prohibited substances while traveling, the importance of reporting addiction cases for treatment, and maintaining the confidentiality of informants.

Al-Mutairi added that Warba Bank is actively involved in various social contributions and initiatives that are consistent with its strategic plan for sustainable development. The bank collaborates with official bodies and institutions to provide support for initiatives that benefit all segments of society.

Furthermore, Al-Mutairi highlighted Warba Bank's commitment to community service and cooperation with official bodies, particularly in enhancing the economic and developmental landscape. He affirmed that Warba’s strategy is not limited to excellence in banking services but extends to fostering sustainable community development.

Lieutenant Colonel Turki Al-Baidan from the General Department of Security Media highlighted that the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with state institutions and civil society organizations, continues to implement awareness campaigns aimed at combating and preventing drug abuse with the ultimate goal of protecting the community and increasing awareness at all levels.
