Warba Bank Sponsors Kuwait Medical Students Association on Their Visit to UK Hospitals to Explore the Latest Medical Innovations

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: Warba Bank has announced its sponsorship of the Kuwait Medical Students Association’s educational visit to London, which includes over 30 students aiming to enhance their expertise. The program features visits to the Kuwait Health Office and the Embassy of Kuwait in the UK, along with tours of several hospitals to learn about the latest treatment methods and medical advancements. This experience will help students apply cutting-edge technologies in their academic studies and future careers. The itinerary also includes visits to Kuwaiti patients in various London hospitals to monitor their health and follow up on their treatment plans.

 Ayman Salem Al-Mutairi, Director Marketing & Corporate Communication at Warba Bank, emphasized the importance of sponsoring and supporting Kuwaiti students at Kuwait University as part of the bank’s commitment to empowering young talents across scientific, cultural, and sports fields, both domestically and internationally. This sponsorship underlines Warba Bank’s belief in the power of education as a cornerstone for achieving economic growth, aligning with Kuwait’s broader vision of national advancement.

Al-Mutairi reiterated Warba Bank’s conviction that Kuwait’s true strength lies in its promising youth, who strive for the highest levels of academic achievement to serve their nation and propel the wheels of development forward.

Moudi Naif Al-Hassawi, Chair of the Research Committee at the Kuwait Medical Students Association, highlighted that the committee organized a summer workshop in London from July 27 to August 1, 2024. “The workshop focused on emergency response (suture) skills at Imperial College - London.” She continued, “in addition to the workshop, we, as students, visited a group of Kuwaiti patients at Cleveland Hospital (London) and learned about some cases, and this is based on the social responsibility of students.”

Al-Hassawi mentioned that the students also visited Kuwait Embassy’s in London, where they were warmly welcomed by the embassy staff, reinforcing the importance of supporting Kuwaiti youth abroad and highlighting the positive reception from the diplomatic community.

She added that the experience was highly beneficial, equipping students with practical knowledge and skills, presenting a model of diligent Kuwaiti university student.

Al-Hassawi concluded by expressing gratitude to Warba Bank for their generous sponsorship, which significantly contributed to the workshop's success which demonstrates Warba’s commitment to supporting education and social development.
