KUWAIT CITY, Jan 15: In a late-night inspection, the Hawalli Monitoring Team of the Salmiya Center, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, seized a warehouse in Hawalli Governorate selling counterfeit perfumes labeled with the names of international brands.
The operation, supervised by Faisal Al-Ansari, Director of Commercial Control at the Ministry, was conducted in coordination with the Tripartite Committee team, manpower officials, and inspectors from the General Fire Department. After documenting violations, the authorities prepared a seizure report, paving the way to refer the offending company to the Commercial Prosecution. Due to clear violations of health requirements, fire brigades immediately closed the warehouse.
The Ministry of Commerce emphasized its commitment to cracking down on violators, reiterating its zero-tolerance policy for breaches of laws and regulations. Officials stressed that such measures are part of ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure the integrity of markets.
This campaign is one in a series of strict actions undertaken by the Ministry to combat commercial fraud and safeguard public trust in the local market.
