KUWAIT CITY, June 20: The Meteorological Department at the General Administration of Civil Aviation in Kuwait has forecasted that the weather today, Thursday, and over the weekend will be extremely hot during the day and hot to very hot at night. Coastal areas will experience a relative rise in humidity.

According to Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, director of the administration, Kuwait is currently affected by the extension of the Indian monsoon low, which brings a hot and occasionally humid air mass. The winds are expected to shift from northwesterly to southeasterly at light to moderate speeds, occasionally becoming active, particularly in the western regions. As a result, daytime temperatures will be extremely hot, and nighttime temperatures will remain high with increased humidity in coastal areas.

For today’s weather, Al-Qarawi mentioned that it will be very hot with northwesterly to variable winds at speeds of 8 to 42 kilometers per hour, sometimes becoming active. Dust may be present in the western regions. The maximum temperatures are expected to range between 47 and 50 degrees Celsius. Sea conditions will feature light to moderate waves, between 1 to 4 feet.

Tonight’s forecast predicts hot to very hot conditions, especially in coastal areas, with variable to light northwesterly winds at speeds of 8 to 30 kilometers per hour. The minimum temperatures will range from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius, and the sea will have light to moderate waves, between 1 to 3 feet.

For tomorrow, Friday, the weather will continue to be very hot and relatively humid in the coastal areas. Winds will initially be northwesterly to variable, later turning southeasterly in coastal areas, at light to moderate speeds, becoming active in the western areas from 8 to 40 kilometers per hour. There is also a chance of dust in the western regions. Maximum temperatures are expected to remain between 47 and 50 degrees Celsius, and the sea state will continue to be light to moderate, with waves ranging from 1 to 3 feet.
