KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9: The General Traffic Department conducted a series of traffic campaigns on various roads and intersections throughout the past week. The initiatives aimed to monitor traffic conditions, identify law violators, and address accident reports to ensure smooth traffic flow. The weekly results revealed a total of 18,940 traffic violations, with 165 vehicles and bicycles impounded. Additionally, 19 individuals were referred to precautionary confinement, and 29 wanted persons, with cases ranging from absence to criminal and civil offenses, were arrested. The authorities also seized 55 wanted vehicles.

During the operations, two individuals displaying abnormal conditions were identified, 14 were apprehended for expired residency, and 11 were detained without proper documentation. These cases were handed over to relevant authorities for necessary legal action. Furthermore, one person was referred to the General Administration for Drug Control, and another to the Environmental Police, all within the period from 12/2/2023 to 12/8/2023.
