LOS ANGELES, Dec 4: Mariah Carey is all set for the holiday season, and her festive-themed wax figure is creating quite a buzz among fans. As soon as Halloween wraps up, Carey is known for diving straight into the Christmas spirit. On November 3, she took to Instagram to announce that fans can now visit her Madame Tussauds wax figure in New York City to embrace the festive season.

“Finally found someone to help me out with the toy delivery this year!” she captioned a slideshow of photos featuring her alongside the wax figure, which strikingly resembles the pop icon. She also expressed gratitude to the renowned museum for honoring her.

Can you spot the real “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer? The actual Carey is seen smiling in a sparkly black gown while holding an ornament next to her wax counterpart, which is dressed in a matching ruby red dress and holds a similar holiday decoration. Madame Tussauds has also meticulously recreated Carey's golden, wavy locks.

The singer's post included a clip of her first encounter with the wax figure, shared with her 13-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, whom she shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon.

“Oh my gosh,” Carey exclaimed as she approached the figure.

“Wow! It’s like I’m looking at you through a mirror,” Moroccan observed in awe.

The proud mother responded, “Wow! It’s surreal. Very good. Look at those shoes!” She then pointed out that the sculptor had even captured the beauty mark on her chin.

“We wanted to make an ‘All I Want for Christmas’ all year round experience. This dress is inspired by Marilyn Monroe,” she explained in the video, also mentioning that the rubies adorning the figure are her own jewelry.

Carey highlighted that the exhibit features additional personal touches, such as nutcrackers and images of Jack Russell terriers, her family’s preferred dog breed.

“Wax Mariah is my new best friend,” she concluded as the clip wrapped up.

Fans also expressed their admiration for the figure's uncanny resemblance in the comments. One fan remarked, “Daaaaang!! They NAILED IT,” while another said, “It looks real! They did a great job!” A third fan humorously added, “Will the real Mariah please stand up!!!”

Madame Tussauds USA celebrated the arrival of the wax figure at its New York location, proclaiming, “The Queen of Christmas has officially arrived!” They later referred to the figure as Carey’s “wax twin.”

Carey’s fan-approved wax figure comes on the heels of other superstar figures that sparked controversy this year, including Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. In February, fans criticized a wax figure of Beyoncé at Madame Tussauds Blackpool in England for resembling actress Leah Remini instead. In August, Swifties expressed their dissatisfaction with a wax figure of the “Fortnight” singer unveiled at The Panoptikum museum in Hamburg, Germany.
