Work visas for short-term government contracts reactivated in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) announced the reactivation of work visas for temporary government contracts, effective Monday. This decision aligns with the directives from Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, responding to the needs of the labor market.

In a statement released via its account on the "X" platform, the authority confirmed that work visas will be available for temporary contracts lasting less than one calendar year, following established procedures.

This initiative is part of efforts to enhance flexibility in the labor market and streamline the completion of temporary projects that do not exceed a year. The Public Authority for Manpower will start accepting applications for these visas from Monday, October 21, 2004.
