KUWAIT CITY, Nov 7: Friday Nov 6 marks a special day in the history of Kuwait Cricket and will be engraved in gold for years to come. Indeed it is a proud moment for KVCC who will no doubt be remembered for years for a world record set by Mohammed Khalid, a Star XI player, scoring a mammoth 293 runs with 17 4s and 33 6s in just 87 balls.
This has never ever been recorded by any player in the world in any T20 match. The match was played between Star XI & KVCC. Batting first Star XI scored 356 for 4, Khalid Butt scored 293 (2 overs with 6 sixes every over).
This was Khalid’s 3rd double century. In reply KVCC could score only 194 for 9 in 20 overs. KVCC, on behalf of all the participating teams, will felicitate this very rare occasion by giving a special prize to Khalid during the prize distribution day. Thanks to Khalid for being such a wonderful player in the field and keeping the fl ag of Kuwait fl ying high and best of luck in your future matches.
