Worshippers Gather in Large Numbers for Qiyam Prayers on the 22nd Night of Ramadan

KUWAIT CITY, March 22: On the twenty-second night of the holy month of Ramadan, worshippers continued to gather in mosques, seeking forgiveness and mercy. Following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and grant him peace) they devoted themselves to reviving the nights of Ramadan through prayer and the recitation of the Qur’an. Their focus was on seeking Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power), a night described as better than a thousand months, during which divine mercy and blessings descend from the Almighty, the All-Wise.

On the 22nd night of Ramadan at the Al-Ghanim and Al-Kharafi Mosque in Sulaibikhat. Worshippers gathered in large numbers, standing shoulder to shoulder, as they prepared to perform the Qiyam prayers at this renowned Ramadan center. The mosque has become a popular destination for worshippers from across Kuwait due to its exceptional preaching program and spiritual atmosphere.

The prayers were led by Sheikh Mishary Al-Afasy and Sheikh Abdul-Mughith Marouf. Dr. Nayef Al-Ajmi delivered a heartfelt sermon, urging worshippers to strive diligently in seeking Laylat al-Qadr, to seek forgiveness, repent sincerely, and return to God. He encouraged them to seize the opportunity of this blessed month to be among those saved from the Hellfire.

The mosque administration has made extensive efforts to ensure the comfort of worshippers throughout the holy month. They have excelled in their preparations for the Qiyam prayers, enlisting a select group of distinguished Quran reciters to lead the congregation. This has created a deeply spiritual and serene atmosphere, allowing worshippers to pray with tranquility and humility. The mosque welcomed both male and female worshippers, with a notable presence of Ministry of Interior personnel to ensure security, manage traffic, and handle medical emergencies. Additionally, a team of volunteers and members of the fire department were on hand to assist as needed.
