Yarmouk and Burga players battling for the ball.

KUWAIT CITY, April 3: Yarmouk edged Burgan 3-1 in the sixteenth round to solidify its position in the first division. Yarmouk now requires just one point from the three remaining matches to secure qualification to the Zain Premier League. This comes after they elevated their tally to 27 points, securing the top spot in the first-division league.

Meanwhile, Al-Tadamon has also bolstered its chances for Premier League qualification with a victory over Al-Sahel. Al-Sahel now must win all three of its remaining matches while hoping for Al-Tadamon's stumble.

For Yarmouk, the path to securing one of the two available seats seems almost assured. However, it is keen to confirm its qualification and avoid a repeat of last season's scenario. It was on the verge of securing a qualification ticket before Khaitan, third in the standings, managed to snatch the second qualifying spot from it.

Reflecting on the Yarmouk versus Burgan encounter, Burgan took an early lead just eight minutes into the first half. However, Yarmouk swiftly responded, equalizing just two minutes later. It then went on to score its second and third goals in the 57th and 75th minutes respectively, clinching their seventh victory in the competition.
