YOUR Highness the Deputy Amir and  Crown Prince, we say this honestly and frankly – Kuwaitis have begun to feel reassured that there is a capable government, after living nearly 30 years under governments that lacked the ability to make decisions and uphold the Constitution and the law.

All this is because they submitted – on their own will – to parliamentarians who are motivated by electoral interests and backward political currents. This made it an easy tool in passing laws and made Kuwait look like a Kandahari Taliban village instead of a country that was distinguished throughout its history by openness and individual initiative, which made it a regional, social, cultural and artistic pioneer that was open to everyone in the decades before the political drought.

Today, because of the bold decisions taken by the Council of Ministers under the guidance of Your Highness, the balance of justice has begun to level off. The sun of interests has set, and the state’s udder has dried after being sucked continuously through settlements reached at night that put the public money in the hands of thieves who are mastered in robbery, and promote it as if it was the norm.

On the other hand, accountability has become weird. This attitude led to the catastrophic administrative, economic, and political decline that the country has been experiencing over the past three decades.

It has become clear to everyone that the statement “The National Assembly prevents us” was the one on which the previous governments hung their failure, along with their fear of interrogation or parliamentary grilling.

This was enough evidence of their complacency - sometimes directly and sometimes indirectly - in generalizing corruption and mismanagement in institutions, because things were entrusted to those who were not worthy or qualified to handle such trust.

Your Highness the Crown Prince, the bats nesting in political and social life still aspire to turn back the clock. That is why they presented us with the so-called “morals document”, which is in fact an attempt to impose their will on the state and society by tampering with the upcoming National Assembly by intimidating candidates – potential winners.

They did this when their dominance receded, following the historic Amiri speech that you delivered on behalf of His Highness the Amir, in which you outlined the road map for the future of Kuwait.

You began the steps for ensuring justice for Kuwaitis, at the forefront of which are the young entrepreneurs of small projects, with the decision of the Council of Ministers to postpone their loan installments for a whole year.

You also put the housing problem under a microscope to put an end to it, as well as to clean the institutions of the corrupt and bribe mongers who have wreaked havoc in the administration.

Your Highness the Crown Prince, it is true that the road is long, and it is not possible to address the chronic problems in a day and night. However, Kuwaitis today feel that they have a ruler who follows up on a daily basis everything published in the press and on social media, hears their moans, and works to solve their challenges.

Therefore, those who once strayed from the state have opened their hearts to contribute, in accordance with the law, the Constitution, and the established values of Kuwaiti society, to the process of advancement led by your Highness.

Everyone will now uphold their national responsibilities to contribute to the renaissance of the new country.

That is why citizens still aspire a lot for Kuwait to return to its pioneering role in the region. They pin high hopes on the new era in order to rid the country of the heavy and destructive legacy.
