Youth Public Authority opens registration for 'Entrepreneur Support' program

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 16: The Youth Public Authority has announced the opening of registration for its "Entrepreneur Support" program, part of the Kuwait Technical Entrepreneurship Complex initiative. This program, which is being held in collaboration with Boeing, aims to assist young entrepreneurs in the technical and technological fields who wish to start or grow their businesses.

Dr. Musaed Al-Kuraibani, Acting Deputy Director General for the Projects Sector at the Authority, spoke about the program's objectives in a statement issued on Sunday. He explained that the program is designed to empower aspiring entrepreneurs by equipping them with the essential skills and guidance to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape. The program will provide participants with opportunities to develop and refine their projects, helping them succeed in a competitive market.

The program, which serves as a pre-accelerator within the complex, is structured into four main stages. The first stage involves a two-week intensive training camp that will be held in Kuwait starting June 15. The camp will feature workshops, lectures, and seminars covering business fundamentals, marketing, financial planning, and project guidance.

The second stage, beginning in early July, will run remotely over a three-month period. It will include periodic, intensive meetings for participants, offering further development, guidance, and networking opportunities to ensure the participants gain the necessary knowledge to advance their projects.

In October, the third stage will take place in person for one week. This phase will focus on refining business ideas, culminating in a competition where participants will present their projects. Five winners will be selected to continue on to the fourth stage, which will take them on an entrepreneurial communication journey in the United Kingdom in November. There, they will have the chance to meet with top British and international experts in a high-level entrepreneurial environment.

Dr. Al-Kuraibani encouraged Kuwaiti youth aged 18 to 35 who are pioneers in the technological and technical fields to learn more about the program by visiting the Authority’s social media platforms. He noted that applications will be accepted until April 6.

An introductory session about the program will be held next Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Kuwait National Library. The meeting will provide detailed information on the program's objectives and stages. Dr. Al-Kuraibani emphasized the Authority’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with all relevant state institutions to support and develop youth in critical fields.
