Kuwait City, June 5: Zain today announces the continuation of its annual collaboration with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to present its complimentary promotion for the Hajj season. The company is offering its top roaming plan (Roaming Plus) at no cost to postpaid and prepaid customers who are registered in all of this year’s ministry-certified Hajj campaigns.

The announcement came during a visit made by Zain Kuwait Roaming and Wholesale Director, Mohammed Al Sayer, and Zain Kuwait Corporate Relations Department Manager, Hamad Al Musaibeeh, to the office of the Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Information & External Relations and Deputy Director for the Kuwait Hajj Delegation, Mohammed Nasser Al Mutairi. Also in attendance was the Ministry’s Hajj and Omrah Department Manager, Sattam Al Mezaien.

During the visit, Zain affirmed its commitment to making this yearly initiative a success in partnership with the Ministry. The step seeks to keep pilgrims connected with their loved ones at no cost while they reside at Hajj locations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Zain now offers free roaming internet and voice calls to customers performing Hajj when they subscribe to the postpaid or prepaid Roaming Plus plan (originally at KD 13 weekly). All customers registered in official, Ministry-certified Hajj campaigns will receive a message with the steps to follow to redeem the free offer.

The plan includes 30 local minutes, 30 minutes to Kuwait, and 30 SMS messages per week, in addition to 3 GBs of daily internet (fair usage policy applies daily after exceeding 3 GB, after which speed is reduced until end of day). The offer runs from 9-22 June and is only valid at Hajj rituals locations.

In a recent announcement, Zain was recognized by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to highlight the fruitful collaboration and strategic partnership between the company and the Grand Mosque of Kuwait during the Holy Month of Ramadan this year. The collaboration resulted in presenting several community programs aimed at serving worshippers and Mosque attendees throughout the Holy Month under the umbrella of the Zain Alshuhoor social campaign.

The initiatives included daily Iftar meals at the Mosque’s Grand Hall, Zain’s first Holy Quran Recitation Competition, hospitality and transportation services at the Mosque, Eid breakfast meals during Eid Al Fitr prayers, and more.
