KUWAIT CITY, Jan 08: Zain participated in a ceremony honoring the volunteers of Khaleeji Zain 26, organized by the tournament's committee at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The event recognized the significant efforts made by volunteers to ensure the success of this Gulf sporting celebration and to highlight their contributions to delivering an exceptional edition of the region’s premier football tournament.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of Khaleeji Zain 26, H.E. the Minister of Information and Culture and State Minister for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Bedah Al-Mutairi; the President of the Kuwait Football Association Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef Al-Sabah; Zain Kuwait’s Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer Waleed Al-Khashti; Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports Bashar Abdullah; Vice President of the Kuwait Football Association Mubarak Abdulaziz; and Tournament Director Mishal Al-Subaie.
Zain’s participation in the event underscored its steadfast commitment to supporting volunteerism and promoting social responsibility values. The company took pride in recognizing the vital role played by all volunteers in ensuring the success of Khaleeji Zain 26 from an organizational perspective, particularly given the massive crowds that attended the tournament.
During the ceremony, volunteers, civil society organizations, and various government entities were honored for their contributions. The tournament’s exceptional success would not have been possible without their efforts, as they were a key factor behind its achievements.
Zain recently concluded its title partnership with the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji Zain 26) on a remarkable note, congratulating Bahrain’s national team on clinching its second-ever championship title after a thrilling final against Oman, which secured the runner-up position for the second consecutive time.
Since announcing its partnership in September 2024, Zain has dedicated its resources and national capabilities to ensuring the success of this major regional tournament. The company expressed pride in its collaboration with the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation, organizing a series of events and contributions throughout the tournament to deliver a memorable championship that befits Kuwait’s sports legacy.
