KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: Zain has renewed its strategic partnership with Rafa Nadal Academy Kuwait for the third time, in collaboration with Tamdeen Sports, a subsidiary of Tamdeen Group. The Academy, the first of its kind in the Middle East, marks the global tennis champion Rafael Nadal's first academy outside Spain.

The partnership agreement was signed at the Academy's headquarters, located in the Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber International Tennis Complex, in the presence of Zain Kuwait CEO Nawaf Al-Gharabally and Tamdeen Sports CEO Mohammad Mustafa Al-Marzouq, alongside executives from both companies.

Zain has proudly supported this renowned international academy as a strategic partner since its inception in 2020. This aligns with the company’s comprehensive corporate sustainability strategy, which aims to reflect the role of Kuwait’s private sector in fostering sports and actively contributing to developing a new generation of professional Kuwaiti athletes across various sports disciplines, enabling them to represent their nation at prominent local, regional, and international arenas.

Zain remains committed to participating in and supporting major projects that reflect Kuwait's strong standing in sports. The company’s efforts embody the wise vision of the country's leadership in nurturing youth and athletes and advancing the sports movement in line with the highest international standards.

The Rafa Nadal Academy, situated within the Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber International Tennis Complex, is the first of its kind in the Middle East and represents Nadal's first global expansion outside his hometown of Mallorca, Spain. The tennis legend has won 22 Grand Slam titles.

The Academy boasts a wide range of advanced facilities and a team of internationally recognized coaches and trainers who offer group and individual training in fitness, tennis, padel, and squash. It leverages the expertise of the Rafa Nadal Academy in Spain, where the training team works to develop young players and train beginners looking to explore and enjoy tennis.

The Academy embodies the spirit and commitment of Rafael Nadal, renowned for his work ethic, resilience, and sportsmanship. His legacy inspires players to strive for excellence both on and off the court. The Academy’s training methodology, identical to that followed in Spain, is built around five core pillars: tennis training, physical training, mental conditioning, nutrition, and competition.

The Academy features 15 tennis courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center, two squash courts, three indoor padel courts, a swimming pool, and a boxing ring. The main covered multi-purpose stadium has a seating capacity of over 5,000, while the outdoor secondary court accommodates 1,500 spectators.

All facilities are equipped with the latest global technologies, adhering to the highest standards. The Academy also includes a dedicated members’ lounge offering healthy dining options, sports shops, and proximity to key amenities such as a 5-star hotel, 360 Mall, and a multi-story parking facility for 2,000 vehicles.

Zain believes in the vital role the private sector plays in advancing youth and sports in Kuwait. The company translates this belief into action by sponsoring and supporting numerous major sports projects and events nationwide.

The company also continues to support and encourage a large number of Kuwaiti athletes representing Kuwait in local, regional, and global arenas, celebrating their achievements year after year with pride.
